The Air Wing of the Ras Al Khaimah Police succeeded in rescuing 204 people, who were stranded in valleys and mountains, during the period of heavy rain and surface runoffs over the past 3 days.

The operation involved nine flights, over seven and a half hours, through which those people were rescued and transferred to safe places.

Maj. Gen. Ali Abdullah Bin Alwan, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, head of the Emirate's Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team, praised the efforts of the Air Wing, and its readiness in dealing with emergency situations, during the severe weather conditions.

He noted that the rescue operations included families, patients, elderly, children and women of all ages, stressing that the Ras Al Khaimah Police spare no efforts to maintain life and safety of all members of society, both citizens and residents, through harnessing all their capabilities to provide assistance to all who need it, anywhere and in all circumstances.
