The inaugural Dubai Gifting Weekend line up has been revealed by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), which will run over three days from December 12-14, 2019, offering residents and tourists a weekend of incredible deals ahead of the holidays.

With the holiday season fast approaching, malls and retailers in Dubai bring shoppers an array of unique and merry celebrations, free gift-wrapping stations, promotions for last-minute gift shopping and entertainment for the whole family to revel in.

Mall Activations

Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif and City Centre Deira will be transformed into Winter Wonderlands this festive season, decked with twinkling lights and jingle bell themed décor throughout. Visitors to the malls between now and December 25 can spread some serious festive cheer with the 'Share it forward from the heart' initiative, a chance for shoppers to donate and share some of their personal belongings to those in need or less fortunate, with all proceeds going directly to The Red Crescent.

Visitors to any of the three major malls will be able to have their gifts wrapped for free at the Gift Wrapping Stations between December 12 to 25.

Festive events

The Pointe will be hosting its spectacular beachfront tree-lighting ceremony on December 13 from 5pm onwards, where guests can watch in awe for the switch-on, visit the festive village and enjoy the live choir and stage performances featuring classic festive tunes. There will also be an ice rink for visitors to get their skates on, as well as a snow ball photo opportunity for the whole family to enjoy.

Visitors to Al Seef's Winter Wonderland between now and December 31 can look forward to a festive market and an exciting snow park for the kids to play in from 12pm to 10pm

City Walk's enchanting Winter Wonderland is the place to be this holiday season, with magical decorations and spectacular roaming entertainment from 7pm to 10pm on December 13 and 20.

Dubai Festival City Mall will be home to the largest Festive Market in Dubai between now and until December 29 starting at 4pm daily and will consist of delicious festive food stalls from Little Bite, Ginger Bread, Vanuato Kakaw and much more. The festivities will also include a breath-taking IMAGINE attraction which will be showcasing an all new festive show called "The Night Before" spreading the holiday spirit every night from 6pm to 11pm on the hour.

The mall will also be bringing its visitors a touch of winter with real snow falling over Festival Bay every 15 minutes!

From December 12 to 28, Town Centre Jumeirah is hosting a variety of festive activities for the young and the young at heart. From a snow play zone to a petting zoo and kid's workshops, there is something for all ages.

Treat your friends and family at The Dubai Mall between December 12 and 14 with incredible savings from 25 per cent to 75 per cent across a wide variety of stores.

Petit Bateau at Dubai Marina Mall is offering 20 per cent off for one day only on December 13 between 3pm and 5pm.
