Hitman 3: ray tracing, Variable Rate Shading and lots of optimizations...

Again this week, IO Interactive praised us the graphic improvements of Hitman 3, which will even benefit the first two episodes that can be imported. The experience will nevertheless be richer on PC, thanks to a partnership signed with Intel. The Danish studio is teaming up with personal computer technology specialists to offer specific optimizations for the most powerful machines.

So expect denser crowds, more realistic destructibility, Variable Rate Shading and you ray tracing. Not everything will be available from launch, but the missing features will be offered for free download during the year 2021. And a priori, all of this will be exclusive to PCs, because at this time nothing is announced for the PS5 and Xbox Series X and S

We are happy and excited to announce that we are partnering with Intel to deliver the best possible performance and optimizations to our PC gamers for Hitman 3.

Together with Intel, we’re working to optimize the game for launch and beyond, with updates, tweaks, and improvements coming throughout 2021 that will improve the experience on a high-end PC and with multicore processors.

These optimizations include improving Hitman 3 for PC gamers with more than 8 base processors, for example, you might spot more crowds in or experience more complex destructibility on Dartmoor. We’re also introducing Variable Rate Shading (VRS), a technique that allows us to prioritize GPU resources where they have the greatest impact. On top of that, we’ll also be implementing ray tracing after the game launches, later in 2021.

We’re excited to continue our partnership with Intel and look forward to sharing more details on what PC gamers can expect from Hitman 3.

The release date of Hitman 3, it’s January 20, 2021, and you can pre-order your copy for € 64.99 on Amazon.fr.
