- Yasmine El Tohamy - Misr El-Makassa president Mohamed Abdel-Salam has confirmed that Ahmed Hossam Mido will remain their manager in their upcoming games.

El-Makassa had a slow start to their Egyptian Premier League season as they are currently 14th in the standings with eight points after nine games.

With just three wins in 11 games since taking over El-Makassa in June, Mido was rumoured to get sacked by the Cairo-based club, but Mohamed Abdel-Salam backed the 36-year-old to turn things around.

“We are confident that the results will get better in the upcoming period and the effort from Mido and his staff will be shown in the next games,” said Abdel-Salam

“We are not worried about the dip in results lately as we are confident that the results will get better and the performances as well.”

El-Makassa’s next league game will be against FC Masr on Tuesday. Kick-off takes place at 17:00 CLT.
