Reports: Ronaldo led the campaign to bust “Juventus’ health bubble”

Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo led the campaign to breach the “health bubble” set up by the Italian club, Juventus, which required players to stay in a hotel close to the club’s training center, which could not be left under any circumstances, to prevent infection with the emerging corona virus.

Juventus took this measure, after two of its employees were infected with the new Corona virus, which imposed the establishment of a “bubble” that prevents players from communicating with anyone inside the hotel.

And according to the Italian newspaper “La Gazzetta del Lausport”, Ronaldo refused to stay in the hotel for several days, because that would have prevented him from traveling to compete in his country’s friendly match against Spain.

Juventus players took two tests, to detect the emerging corona virus, which were negative, but according to the Italian health protocol, a third “swab” was required, before players were allowed to leave isolation.

The Italian newspaper added that Ronaldo shouted in the face of club officials during the presence of his colleagues, and decided to leave the hotel and return to his home, where he spent a night with his family, before traveling to join the Portuguese camp the next day.

“La Gazzetta del Losport” continued that a number of Juventus players left the isolation after Ronaldos behavior, most notably Paulo Dybala, Juan Cuadrado, Daniilo, Rodrigo Bentancur and Mareh Demiral, as they joined their teams’ camps, while veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon returned to his home.
