In the 27th minute, Omar El-Wahsh played a through ball to Benson Shilongo who found himself in a one on one situation before putting the ball wide.
Just two minutes before the half-time whistle, Ismaily got the opportunity to put the scores back level after they were given a penalty. Omar El-Wahsh took the responsibility to take the crucial shot himself but he failed to hit the target.
Six minutes into the second-half, Mohamed Magdy Afsha took a powerful shot from outside the penalty area but he was denied by the left post.
Allow Badji doubled the scoring in the 67th minute after an impressive team effort between Geraldo, Walid Soliman and Ahmed El-Sheikh who gave to Badjo who found the bacl of the net with a first time shot.
Five minutes later, El-Sheikh managed to put his name on the scoresheet after the goalkeeper dropped Walid Soliman’s cross, therefore El-Sheikh made the most out of the opportunity and scored Al Ahly’s third and final goal.
Al Ahly are now just three points away from securing their 42nd Egyptian Premier League title. They will start hope to end their journey next Monday, September 14th when they visit Ittihad of Alexandria.
