Egypt international Sam Morsy has been named Wigan Athletic’s Player of the Month for January.

Morsy has made four appearances for the Latics during January, captaining them to two wins and two defeats in the Championship providing one assist along the way.

The 28-year-old also participated in Wigan’s 2-0 loss against Leicester City in the third round of the FA Cup at the start of the month.
