- Yasmine El Tohamy - The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) received a letter from FIFA, informing them Al Masry have been banned from signing any players in the next 18 months.

The decision comes after their winger Cheick Moukoro was banned by FIFA at the start of the season.

Moukoro was on the receiving end of a four-month-long ban after terminating his contract with Sudanese side Al Hilal Obeid without mutual consent back in 2017.

However, the Ivorian’s ban was lifted by FIFA two weeks ago as he started for Al Masry in their 2-2 draw against Aswan in the Egyptian Premier League.

With this ban, Al Masry are set to miss out on a total of three transfer windows as the Port Said side will lodge an appeal in an attempt to convince FIFA to rescind the ban.
