The Red Devils defeated Haras El-Hodood 1-0 on Sunday, thanks to Amr El-Sulya’s strike in the 81st minute.

In the 37th minute, Afsha delivered a delightful through ball to Walid Azaro in the center of the box but the Moroccan forward couldn’t connect with the header.
15 minutes after the restart, Al Ahly hit the woodwork again through Afsha as his shot inside the box hit the crossbar.
20 minutes later, Amr El-Sulya unleashed a powerful strike that hit one of El-Hodood’s defenders on it’s way and beat Ahmed El-Saadany to break the deadlock and give Al Ahly a late 1-0 lead.
With this victory, Al Ahly are now top of the Egyptian Premier League table with 18 points, two points ahead of Arab Contractors.
The Red Castle travel to face sixth-placed Ismaily in the league’s ninth round on Thursday. Kick-off takes place at 19:30 CLT.
