Thank you for reading the news about Ramadan Sobhi ruled out of Etoile du Sahel clash in Champions League and now with the details

- Yasmine El Tohamy - Al Ahly winger Ramadan Sobhi has been ruled out of their upcoming CAF Champions League clash against Étoile Sportive du Sahel.

Ramadan Sobhi has had an outstanding season with Al Ahly, scoring five goals in nine games across all competitions.

The 22-year-old sustained a posterior muscle tear during a team training last December, which forced him to rest for six weeks.

According to a statement Al Ahly released, Sobhi is not completely fit to take part in the Red Devils’ clash against Etoile du Sahel despite making headway in recovery.

The club also wants Sobhi to fully recover before February’s intense run of games, which includes two games against Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League and the Egypt Super Cup respectively.

Etoile du Sahel are currently top of Group B with 10 points followed by Al Ahly with seven points.

Al Ahly host Etoile in the fifth round of the CAF Champions League’s group stages on Sunday. Kick-off takes place at 21:00 CLT.
