Club Brugge goalkeeper Simon Mignolet said that some of his teammates are better finishers than former teammate Roberto Firmino and are comparable to Mohamed Salah.

Mignolet became Brugge’s first choice goalkeeper since joining them last summer, already making 30 appearances for the club across all competitions.

His new side, much like Liverpool, sit comfortably on top of their league table mainly thanks to top goal scorer Hans Vanaken and top assist provider Ruud Vormer.

The 31-year-old then starting comparing some of his former Reds teammates with Brugge teammates, saying that there’s not much difference between them

“Both Hans [Vanaken] and Ruud [Vormer] are very good finishers,’ Mignolet told Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.

“[Roberto] Firmino and Mo [Salah] are of course incredible football players, but Firmino is not a born killer.

“Hans and Ruud should certainly not be inferior to Bobby in terms of finishing.

“I even dare to say that Hans and Ruud on that are better than Roberto Firmino. And that they are of a comparable level to Mo.

”When Ruud or Hans score in training, they shout ‘that’s something different from Firmino and Salah, huh!’

”Our relationship is very good. The atmosphere in training and the experience here is great,” he concluded.

This season alone, Firmino and Salah have already directly contributed to 40 goals for Liverpool this season.
