After the loss, Morsy’s side sit 23rd with 23 points ahead of their encounter against Swansea City on the 18th of January.

Premier League – The Egyptian King assisted as Liverpool snatched a critical 1-0 win against Spurs in the 22nd fixture of the league, to extend the gap at the top of the table with Manchester City to 14 points. Roberto Firmino scored the game winning goal in the 37th minute as he finished Salah’s pass. After the win, the Reds moved to the 61st point ahead of their anticipated clash against Manchester United.

Super League – Warda played the full 90 minutes as Larisa held Aris Thessaloniki to a goalless draw in the 18th league fixture. Following the draw, Warda’s side occupy the eighth spot with 23 points and will face AEK Athens on the 19th of January.

Premier League – Elmohamady and Trezeguet both featured in Aston Villa’s disappointing 6-1 defeat against Manchester City in the 22nd fixture. Sergio Aguero netted a hattrick and Riyad Mahrez bagged a brace. After the huge defeat, the Villans sit 18th with 21 points before facing Brighton & Hove Albion on Jan.18.
