Carteron happy with win over Aswan, discusses Hamed’s replacement

Thank you for reading the news about Carteron happy with win over Aswan, discusses Hamed’s replacement and now with the details

- Yasmine El Tohamy - Zamalek manager Patrice Carteron talked about his side’s 2-0 win over Aswan in the Egyptian Premier League and discussed Tarek Hamed’s replacement following his sending off.

Zamalek secured their first league win since December 12th when they beat Aswan 2-0 thanks to goals from Mostafa Mohamed and Ahmed Sayed ‘Zizo’.

During the game, the Whites midfielder Tarek Hamed was sent off after receiving a second booking meaning that he’ll miss at least their next game against Tanta.

Carteron talked about the importance of the win and revealed how he’ll cope with Hamed missing from the squad.

“We got three important points today, we were performing well in the previous games but we weren’t scoring which was disappointing. But winning this game despite the red card is a positive and it will motivate us,” Carteron said during the post match press conference.

“The team has to constantly work in order to perform at the highest level. I currently don’t have a replacement in mind but I always work with the substitutes so that they can always be ready to play.

“We have less than three days before the Tanta game, the team is recovering right now in the dressing room. I don’t know who’ll play in the next game, I will choose the players depending on their readiness on both the physical and mental aspects.

“I always watch the youth squads to get to know their players. As a manager I was never scared to put on a young player if a proper chance was given. Today Ahmed Eid participated, but don’t thank me for giving him a chance, thank the youth academy for taking care of him and helping perform that way,” he concluded.
