RIYADH — The Saudi General Entertainment Authority has launched a logo with a special motto for the Kingdom's 90th National Day which falls on Sept. 23.

“The motto works to unify celebration of the dear National Day on the hearts of citizens and residents of this good land, and it will be used in a wide range of applications, whether by government or private agencies, inside and outside Saudi Arabia”, Turki Bin Abdulmohsen Al-Shiekh, chairman of the GEA said at the unveiling of the logo, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said on Wednesday.

Al-Shiekh is also Chairman of the National Day Season.

The motto ‘mettle to the top’ was inspired by Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, who said: “The Saudis’ stamina is like the formidable mountain of Tuwaiq”.

The mountain which is formed of solid limestone can be seen from as far as 800 km from the southern border of Al Qasim in the north, to the northern edge of the Empty Quarter desert near Wadi Ad-Dawasir in the south.

The name Tuwaiq comes from the Arabic meaning of surrounding in the shape of a ring one of the most beautiful deserts in the world that witnesses the blossoming of more than 2,000 different plant during Spring season that turn the area into a beautiful green landscape.

The GEA chief called on all parties to use the logo for the country's 90th National Day.
