A group of lawyers in Algeria filed a lawsuit against Doctor Amira Bouraoui over comments she made on social media, describing the Prophet Muhammad as insulting.
This group said that the lawsuit was filed in the name of a citizen in Wadi al-Rumman town with the local court. With this complaint, the lawyers add, “a new chapter begins in the chapters on which the right-holders move against those who take advantage of any opportunity to challenge religion, sacred things, the prophets and the Companions … Our silence for them for ages made them believe that they are rightful, but rather enlightened and we are backward.”
The lawyers ’statement adds,” Now, justice is among us and it is that which gives everyone his right. ”
