BMW M4 gets a new front from Prior Design

Once, when the world was still clear, we regularly reported here about tuners and ’embellishers’ to have a laugh too. Now everything is different, and it is the tuners that come up with the more civilized designs. Prior Design is probably making a move for a new front for the BMW M4, and that doesn’t look bad.

Companies like Prior Design are often good for designs that are debatable to say the least. The Germans have a preference for carbon, huge wheel arch extensions, carbon, gigantic wings and of course carbon. The result is cars that, although very aggressive, often do not appear as stylish.

However, there is little more to gain from the BMW M4 for Prior Design in that area. What’s called: BMW seems to have used Priors creations as a blueprint, and comes with an upper-4 series full of spoilers, holes and of course that gigantic grille.

Prior Design therefore wants to focus on a front that does not necessarily look more aggressive, but perhaps looks more civilized than the original. It is still too early for a real product, but the attached images (from the video below) show the company what we can expect. There are options that are still quite sensitive to taste, but the first proposal (opening photo) looks surprisingly tight. Prior makes good use of the curves in the hood, which form a kind of run-up to the grille. The grille itself, however, is a lot smaller and is complemented by a sleek, wide-spread air intake at the bottom of the bumper.

The final product will undoubtedly work not only for the M4, but also for the M3. After all, that sedan shares its special facade with the coupé. By the way, Prior Design is not the first company to try to make an existing model a bit more civilized. Revenant Automotive previously did the same with the Aston Martin Vantage, which had to give up its gigantic grille for a classic-looking copy.
